Don’t let complacency affects the lives of those we swore to protect because we failed to prepare, it’s not THEIR fault.

About Us

Our story starts in a small town in Eastern Iowa, where our love for the fire service began. Our family has a strong history of community service and a passion for the fire service starting with our grandfather, who served on the local volunteer department, even serving as Chief. This dedication to community service was passed down to our father, who has served on the fire department for over 40 years, also serving as Chief. Our Grandfather and Father have espoused a deep sense of community service through their actions. Not only were they both on the local volunteer fire department, but both served as Fire Chief, City Council member, and Mayor, in addition to other service within our hometown.

Growing up in a small town in Iowa, we typically found ourselves at the firehouse for community event, stopping by with dad, or following a call to chat about the incident. Our paths were set by the values instilled by us throughout our youth, the fire service is where we are meant to be.

Ryan, the older brother, attended Kirkwood Community College to pursue AAS in Fire Science and obtain his Paramedic certification. He was hired full-time by a career department in Southern Iowa. After 8 years, he then move to join Ty in the Des Moines Metro to continue his fire service career.

Ty, the younger brother, also attended Kirkwood Community College to pursue a fire service career. Ty obtained my AAS in Paramedicine and then followed my soon to be wife to the Des Moines suburb. His pursuit for growth is never-ending as he completed BAS in Fire Science Administration and a MS in Organizational Leadership.

Our love for the fire service had put on a path to share the love of the job and to share our skills and experience we have gained along gained way. ROGUE TRAINING CONSULTING was built to allow us to express our ideas, thoughts, dedication, passion, and skills we have learned through our fire service career. Our goal is to improve the skills of the firefighters we encounter so they can make a difference in someones lives and to spread the love of the job. As a FDNY firefighter has said, “this job owes you nothing, but it can give you everything”.
