METRO FIRE ACADEMY
No matter the fire department or the fireground, the success of the firefighter is rooted in understanding and performing the basic-level of skills which are taught in the fire academy. It seems over the years, we have lost the the attention to detail and mastery of our craft. Our goal is to bring back the foundational skills to the firefighter one program. This class will prepare firefighters to be successful in certification testing but also on the fireground. Students will learn proven fireground skills such as search, ventilation, hose line deployment, nozzle advancement, and much more.
Students will cover all NFPA required Firefighter One skills and material in addition to Hazardous Material Awareness and Operations. An option for Firefighter Two will be offered to student who successfully pass the Firefighter One program.
